Layne is an app that lets you connect with other private individuals to buy or sell your used car online, yourself, and on your own terms. It’s straightforward, fair and secure.
GET MORE FOR YOUR MONEY: Layne is not a dealership, and you won’t find them on our platform. We don’t own the cars or expensive showrooms, so individual seller and buyer can share all the savings.
HOW IT ALL STARTED: We designed Layne to build trust in used car buying and selling. We hope it reduces the hassle and removes the haggling so common in the process today, and turns buying and selling used cars into a positive experience for both individuals.

• Complete the listing by adding photos, wear and tear and damages details, and the unique story behind your car

• View Layne’s Estimated Fair Price Range for each car
• See which car is priced fairly by looking for a Fair Price stamp, which shows up on the listing and in search results
See the details that matter
• Layne presents important vehicle information in a clean and easy-to-read format
• Cars with a warranty, inspection certificate and fair asking price receive a special stamps so they stand out from the rest
• Review the vehicle’s condition and images of dents and damages (if any) in the Condition section
• Get a unique perspective for each car from the seller in the Story section
